We recently had the pleasure of photographing the revamped library at Kincumber High School, working alongside Raeco, one of Australia's leading design and education suppliers. The updated library is designed to inspire learning and creativity, and our task was to capture this transformation in a way that truly brought the space to life.
An Inspiring Collaboration
At iDeal Property Photography, we pride ourselves on bringing out the best in educational spaces, and working with Raeco on this project was no exception. Raeco’s vision for Kincumber High School’s library focused on creating an engaging, dynamic layout with features that promote both independent study and group collaboration. The result? A refreshed library space where students feel inspired to learn, create, and connect.
About the Kincumber High School Library Fitout
The updated library features Raeco's Australian-made Expressions Curved shelving, which gives the space a flowing, open feel. The curved design and mobile shelving options mean the layout can adapt to the library’s needs—showcasing the collection with face-out displays that are visually engaging and easy for students to explore. The flexible nature of these shelves also allows the library to be reconfigured as required, making it a versatile learning environment.
New study areas were designed with comfort in mind, incorporating Australian-manufactured Aurora lounges paired with Raeco's Hub tables, all backed by a 10-year warranty. The versatile, modular Vortice double-sided lounge, upholstered with Raeco’s exclusive Indigenous fabric design, adds a striking feature to the space, providing seating for collaborative work while celebrating cultural heritage.
Capturing the Transformation: Our Role
Our goal was to visually tell the story of this transformation—showing not only the aesthetic changes but also how these changes benefit the students. We focused on highlighting the Australian-made quality of Raeco's furnishings, from the ergonomic lounges perfect for study sessions to the vivid curved shelving that turns browsing for books into an experience.
The modular Vortice lounge, with its double-sided seating, was a particular highlight for us. Upholstered with Raeco’s exclusive Indigenous fabric design, this piece serves as a focal point of the library, encouraging collaboration while making a cultural statement. It’s these small but meaningful details that we love capturing in our photography.
A Space Built for Future Generations
Kincumber High School’s library has been thoughtfully redesigned with students in mind—a space that invites them to sit, read, learn, and grow. The new fitout is more than just furniture; it’s about creating an environment that feels comfortable and welcoming, where students can explore their passions and work together on creative projects.
With Raeco's focus on sustainability, quality, and inclusivity, we were excited to help showcase this incredible transformation through our photography. We hope that our images inspire other educational institutions to see what’s possible when innovative design meets thoughtful planning.
